  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whisky
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1

Place all the ingredients except the whiskey in your heavy pot. Turn your stove top heat on low. You have to heat this very slowly or it will burn.

Let the ingredients cook on low heat with you stirring frequently. As it cooks the whisky sauce will thicken. When the sauce is thick, add the whisky. Let the sauce simmer another 5-10 minutes stirring often. Take off the heat and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
