Rock Cakes - Big G's

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup butter and shortening mixed
• 3 cups flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• milk
• Flavoring: lemon rind, assorted spices
• Currents

Preparation

Step 1

Proceed as in making pastry.
Add beaten egg and enough milk to hold mixture together. Don't make it too moist.

Drop by spoon on baking sheet.

Bake at 400 until done.
