Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup Karo syrup, light or dark
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 3/4 cups cornmeal

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450.
Put 3 tablespoon oil in heavy iron skillet or baking pan.
Set pan in oven to heat.
Mix all dry ingredients and add all liquid ingredients.
Blend well.
Pour into preheated pan and bake for 20 minutes.
