Ingredients

  • 2 2/3

    cup flour

  • 2 1/2

    tsp baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 1/3

    cup margarine (5 tlb)

  • 1/3

    cup shortening

  • 1

    pkg light brown sugar

  • 3

    eggs

  • 1

    tsp vanilla

  • 1

    small pkg chocolate chips

Directions

Melt butter and shortening and pour over brown sugar. Mix well. Add 3 eggs, 1 at a time beating after each. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients gradually mixing well. Batter will be stiff. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread into a 9 x 13 ungreased pan, but when warm and let cool in pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
