Chocolate Walnut Cake

Ingredients
- Sift together and set aside:
- Heat and melt
- 6 ounce pkg. chocolate morsels
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- Combine in a bowl until blended
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs: add one at a time and beat-blend in chocolate mixture. Stir in flour alternately with 1 cup of water. Pour into 2 well greased 9" layer pans.
- Chocolate Walnut Frosting
- 6 ounce pkg. chocolate morsels, 3 tbls. butter..heat and melt over water. Remove from heat and add
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Mix until well blended. Gradually beat in 3 cups of confectioner sugar.
- yields 1 3/4 cups.
