Nancy's Coffee Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup sugar
• Cream well
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3 eggs- add and break in 1 at a time
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• sift and add alternately with 1/2 pint of sour cream
• FILLING AND TOPPING
• 6 tbsp. softened butter
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)

Preparation

Step 1

Place 1/2 batter in a greased tube pan,
(angel food). Sprinkle 1/2 of topping on it. Place the rest of batter in pan and cover with rest of topping.

Makes 2 round cake pans 9".

Bake at 350 Degrees for one hour
