  • 1 c sifted flour
  • 1 c milk or water
  • 1/2 tap salt
  • 2 Tbsp sugar (little more)
  • 1 egg

Step 1

Mix liquid, salt sugar and egg together. Stir slowly into flour, then beat until smooth with rotary beater.

Let iron mold heat in oil, then dip in batter, almost to edge, then in oil again until it drops from mold. Brown, turn, brown and then remove when cooked.
