Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 18 1/2 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 3 3/4 oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cub cold water
  • 1/2 cup Wesson oil
  • 1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum
  • 1/2 cub butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum

Preparation

Step 1

Grease & flour 10 in. tube or 12 cup bunt pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan. Mix all cake ingrediants together. Pour batter over nuts in pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Cool. Invert on serving plate, prick top, drizzle and brush glaze evenly over top and side.

Glaze:
Melt butter in sauce pan, stir in water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Stir in rum.

Optional:
Decorate with whipped cream or sugar.
