Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup oil (or 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 large box instant vanilla pudding
  • Optional: add one cup of chopped nuts or 1/2 cup of raisins

Step 1

Day 1: Do nothing. This is the day you receive the batter starter.
Day 2: Mush the bag.
Day 3: Mush the bag.
Day 4: Mush the bag.
Day 5. Mush the bag.
Day 6: Add to the bag: 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk. Mush the bag.
Day 7: Mush the bag.
Day 8: Mush the bag.
Day 9: Mush the bag.
Day 10: Follow the instructions below:

1. Pour entire contents of the bag into a large non-metal bowl.
2. Add 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup milk. Mix well with a
wooden spoon.
3. Measure out 3/4 cup of batter into 4 separate gallon ziploc bags.
Keep a starter for yourself and pass 3 starters along to friends
along with a copy of this recipe. Should you not pass this along to a
friend on the first day, be sure to mark the bag with the date so that
they know which day the batter is on.
4. Preheat oven to 325.
5. To the remaining batter in the bowl, add the ingredients listed above.
6. Grease & sugar (mix sugar and cinnamon) 2 large loaf pans (bundt pan
can be substituted) and mix an additional 1/4 cup sugar with an
additional 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Dust greased pans with half of the
mixture.
7. Pour batter evenly into the pans and sprinkle remaining sugar mixture
over the top.
8. Bake one hour. Cool until bread loosens from the pan (approx 10
minutes).
9. Serve warm or cool.
