Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup (1/2 lb.) margarine (not Crisco), melted and cooled
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons vanilla (or anise) extract

Step 1
Beat eggs, adding sugar gradually, until smooth.
Add cooled, melted margarine, along with vanilla (or anise) extract.
Sift flour and baking powder, and add to egg mixture.
Dough batter will be sticky enough to be dropped by the spoonful onto Pizzelle iron.
Place heaping teaspoon of dough batter onto the center of the Pizzelle iron.
Close Pizzelle iron cover, and clip handles together during baking.
Bake until golden brown (about 1/2 minute.)
