Ingredients

  • Chocolate drizzle:
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar (divided)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 Tblsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 Tblsp low fat milk

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Spray bundt pan with cooking spray. Beat egg whites in large bowl on low speed till foamy. Add cream of tartar, increase speed to med high and beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating until stiff but not dry. This may take up to 5 minutes. Combine remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in another large bowl. Beat in buttermilk, oil, vanilla into heaping spoonful of whites at medium speed. Fold in remaining whites and chocolate chips. Pour into pan. Bake 40-50 minutes.

Invert onto rack let cool completely.

To make drizzle, combine chocolate chip and milk in small sauce pan. Melt over low heat until chocolate is melted. Drizzle over cooled cake.
