Ingredients
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/8 cup minced garlic, about 12 cloves
- 1 piece ginger, 2" piece; roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup cilantro
- 1/4 cup tamari soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oils in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, ginger; simmer 5 minutes, stirring often.
2. Add remaining ingredients; simmer 5 minutes. Cool, then puree until smooth.
Notes: made to go along with the Thai Fish Cakes from the same cookbook. Delicious and a bit different from your basic peanut sauce. Will use the rest up with noodles, burgers, etc. Delicious!!
