Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup lard
  • Cold water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first two ingredients in a bowl. Cut in cold lard with pastry blender or two forks. Mixing with fork, add cold water a few drops at a time until just enough is added to hold particles together.

Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.

Makes enough pastry for one double-crust 9-inch pie or for 2 9-inch pie shells.
