  • Spaetzle style dumplings:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • Soup:
  • pork sausage
  • 4 cups potatoes - peeled and cut into fine pieces

Step 1

Mix with fork the flour, egg and salt until well blended, then work real well with hands and make into a small crumble in the bowl. If flour isn't all used up add a little water. Cook sausage in a half kettle of water until done. Take out sausage & skin and cut up to small pieces. Add to the sausage broth about 4 cups raw potatoes (cut fine). Cook until almost soft, then add the rebela and the sausage. Add some soup base and cook for 10 minutes. Stir often as these will easily set to the bottom and might burn. (This can be eaten with uncooked sauerkraut on top).
