Ingredients

  • 1 pkg corkscrew macaroni
  • 1/2 cup onion,chopped fine
  • 2 cups cucumber, seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 small jar pimento, chopped and drained
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 T prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • vegetable oil to coat pasta

Cook macaroni, cool and coat with oil;set aside. Boil sugar, vinegar and spices until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Cool. Combine macaroni with vegetables and pour dressing over. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Stir and serve. Great for picnics. No mayonnaise, so no chance to spoil easily.
