Preparation

Step 1

On The Stove:
Drizzle a small amount of Olive Oil in a pan and place the Brussels sprouts in it.
Add half the balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper, toss to coat evenly.
Saute until vinegar becomes thick.

If you do not want to brown them in the oven: drizzle immediately with the remaining balsamic vinegar, and toss again. Taste for seasonings, and serve hot.

In The Oven:
I like the browning that the broiler offers so I preheat my oven while my brussels sprouts are on the stove. After step 4 I transfer the sprouts to baking sheet and broil the brussels sprouts for just a few minutes, until they're nicely browned.
Remove from the oven, drizzle immediately with the remaining balsamic vinegar, and toss again. Taste for seasonings, and serve hot.
