Omi's Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
- I:
- 1 1/1 lb ground pork
- 3/4 lb beef
- 1 slace bread, soaked in water and crumbled
- 1 c bread crumbs
- 3/4 cup evap. milk
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 lg head cabbage
- 1 slice bacon, chopped
- 1 lb sourkraut
- 3 slices bacon (1/2 cooked)
- 2 cups canned tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
Put cabbage in boiling water to soften. Remove carefully and trim stem and rib.
Mix stage II ingredients and roll into cabbage leaves. Fasten with toothpicks.
Place saurkraut in bottom of heavy pot or casserole. Place rolls on top. Cut 3 slices of bacon and put ontop of rolls. Pour tomatoes over all. Cook covered at 375 for 2 hours and uncovered for 45 minutes.
