- 1 1/4 pounds ground chuck
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Freshly ground pepper
combine the ground meat, panko, egg, onion, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a bowl; mix with your hands. Form into four 1/2-inch-thick oval patties.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties; cook until browned, 3 minutes per side.
