Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4-5 slices bacon
  • 1 package chicken sausage
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 large SWEET POTATOS
  • 2 cups kale, chopped
  • Fresh shredded Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Sauté chicken sausage, bacon, onions, garlic and red pepper flakes over low-medium heat in olive oil for approximately 15 minutes or until the onions are soft.

Add chicken broth and water to the pot and heat until it starts to boil.

Add the sliced sweet potatoes and cook until soft, about half an hour.

Add the heavy cream and just cook until thoroughly heated.

Stir in the kale, let all heat through and serve with shredded parmesan cheese on top.
