Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate chips, generous half cup

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350 with rack in middle position. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Whisk flour-salt; set aside.
3. Whisk butter-vanilla. Stir in sugar until smooth. Stir in flour and 1/3 cup chips
4. Roll into 1 tbsp 1" balls and place on sheets 2 1/2" apart. Press remaining chips on top of dough.
5. Bake until light golden and centers are set (11-13 minutes), moving tray halfway through baking time. Bake only one sheet at a time.
6. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes then cool on wire rack.
Notes: these were good but did taste light. So very good for a light cookie, but probably just a good compared to the less healthy ones
