Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tea. baking powder
- 1 tea. salt
- 1/2 tea. cinnamon
- 1/4 tea. allspice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 tea. grated orange peel
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1
Coarsely chop cranberries. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and set aside.
IN bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Make a well in center of dry ingredients. Combine egg, peel, juice and butter. Add all at once to flour mixture; stir to moisten. Fold in cranberry mixture and nuts.
Fill greased muffins cups; bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
Makes 12 large muffins
