Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 7 tbsp cocoa
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup hot water

Preparation
Step 1
Stir together 3/4 c sugar, flour, 3 tsp cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stire in chocolate chips. Pour batter into 8" or 9" pan. Stir together 1/2 c sugar, brown sugar, and 4 tsp cocoa. Sprinkly evenly over batter. Pour hot water oer top. DO NOT STIR.
Bake 35-40 minutes at 350. Let stand 15 minutes.
Spoon into dishes, spooning sauce from bottom of pan over top. Garnish with whipped cream.
Chocolate-Cherry Pudding Cake: Thaw 1 12oz package frozen dark sweet, pitted cherries; drian. Pat cherries dry with paper towels. Prepare recipe as directed through step 2, gently sprinkling cherries over batter in pan. Proceed with recipe as directed.
Mocha Pudding Cake: Substitute hot freshly brewed coffee for boiling water. Proceed with recipe as directed.
