Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 (3-4 lb.) beef pot roast
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. teriyaki sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- Hot cooked rice

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in Dutch oven or oven roaster. Brown pot roast on all sides.
Mix soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, garlic and ginger with hot water; add sliced onion. Add mixture to meat in the pan. Cover; simmer on low heat for 2 1/2 hours or until meat is fork-tender. Remove meat to serving platter.
Mix cornstarch with cold water; stir until smooth. Add to liquid in roaster; cook and stir until thickened.
Pour beef gravy into gravy boat to be served over hot cooked rice and beef when plated. 4-6 servings.
