Apple Dumplings I

Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated flaky biscuit dough or seamless crescent roll dough
- 4 apples - peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup white sugar plus 1 Tbsp
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1-2 Tbsp water
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Butter a 7x11 inch baking pan. Combine cinnamon and 1 Tbsp white sugar in medium sized bowl. Add apples and toss to coat. Separate biscuit dough into 8 pieces. Flatten each piece of dough into a circle. Fill each circle with diced apple mixture, bring dough up to enclose and place seam side down in pan.
Bake for 20 minutes. Turn each dumpling and bake for 10 minutes more.
In small bowl, combine sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Add water to thin to a thick sauce consistency. Pour mixture over dumplings in pan. Sprinkle additional cinnamon on top. Bake 10 more minutes, until golden. Serve hot.
