Ingredients
- • 2-9 inch pie crust pastries
- • 20 Ritz crackers
- • 2 cups water
- • 1 1/4 cups sugar
- • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine

Preparation
Step 1
Combine water sugar and cream of tartar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, add crackers whole. Bring to a gentle boil. Boil for 8 to 10 minutes until crackers are transparent. Pour into a previously baked crust. Sprinkle on nutmeg and cinnamon, cover with top crust which has a slot cut in it.
Bake at 425° for 30 to 35 minutes until crust is lightly browned.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
