Crockpot Fruited Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
1. Grease the inside of the crockpot.
2. Put all ingredients and mix with a whisk. Cover. Just before going to bed, turn the crockpot on low. The cereal will be ready in the morning. Serve with milk or cream.
Notes: Delicious! Loved having a hot breakfast in the morning without having to make it. Used steel-cut oats and 3 cups milk instead of 2. Also added dried cranberries. Any dried/fresh fruit, nuts would work well. Wasn't quite enough sugar and not sure what the butter's needed for so may leave that out next time. Good with a splash of cream on top to serve.
