  • 1 cake yeast 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. warm water 1 c. Wesson or Crisco Oil
  • 4 c. scalded milk 8 egg yolks
  • 6 c. flour 4 tsp. salt
  • margarine
  • cinnamon-sugar mixture

Step 1


Dissolve yeast in warm water, add scalded milk and flour. Rise in warm place until doubled. When light add sugar,oil, egg yolks, salt and enough more flour to form dough. Knead until smooth. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Turn onto floured board. Roll out about 3/4 in. thick, spread with soft margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll up like jelly roll and slice. Place in greased pan - let rise. Bake in 350 deg. oven approx. 20 minutes.
