Ingredients

  • 1 c prepared Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 T prepared barbecued sauce
  • 2 T minced red onion
  • 3 lbs ground beef filet
  • 2 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 3 T EVOO
  • 1 c crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 pkgs (12 buns each) mini potato rolls, toasted
  • 2 bunches arugula leaves, trimmed
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 12 cornichons, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat grill. In small bowl, combine Thousand Island dressing, barbecue sauce & red onion; set aside.
2. In large bowl, combine beef w/salt & pepper.
3. Shape mixture into 24 (2oz) patties. Drizzle w/olive oil.
4. Place burgers on hot grill for 3-4 min.
5. Turn burgers, grill 2 more min & top w/cheese.
6. Cover grill; cook until cheese melts.
7. Place bottom 1/2 of roll on a platter. Spread w/Thousand Island mixture.
8. Add burger, arugula leaf, & tomato & cornichons slices, then top half of roll.
