Creamy Cardamom and Rice Pudding

Ingredients
- 5 cups Half & Half or vanilla soymilk
- 1/2 Cup basmati or jasmine rice
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 Cup golden raisins
- 1/3 Cup chopped almonds plus more for garnish
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon ground cardamom
- several drops rose water

Preparation
Step 1
1. Bring milk, rice, and salt to a boil in saucepan. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 15 to 20 min or until rice is tender, stirring frequently
2. Stir in brown sugar, raisins, almonds, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom. Cook 5 min until thickened.
3. Remove from heat and divide among 6 dishes. Serve hot or cold and garnish with chopped almonds and sprinkle with rose water.
