Ingredients

  • 1 Hot Pepper - Depending on how how you like your salsa you can use these listed from mildest to hottest: Anaheim, Poblano, Jalapeno, Serrano, or Habanero.
  • 1/2 Organic Bell Pepper (we used the red pepper because it's sweeter)
  • 1 1/2 Quarts of Tomatoes (this is after they are blended)
  • 1 1/2 Medium Onions
  • 1 Organic Celery Stalk
  • 1/3 C Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4 tsp Raw Honey
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 Small can of tomato paste - add more if you want it thicker

Preparation

Step 1

Blend all vegetables together in a blender.

I blended the tomatoes by themselves first so I could get the correct measurement. I didn't bother taking the skin off of the tomatoes either.

Boil all ingredients for 3 hours.

Put in mason jars and freeze the extras (or can them)
