Ingredients

  • 6 large green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 C. chopped onion
  • 14.5oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 C. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1 C. shredded cheese
  • 1 10.75oz. cans condensed tomato soup

Preparation

Step 1

Boil salted water in large pot. Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds, cook in boiling water 5 minutes.
In large skillet saute beef and onions until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomatoes, rice, 1/2 C. water and worcestershire sauce. Cover, simmer 15 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
Stuff each pepper with rice mixture and place peppers in baking dish. Combine soup with water to gravy consistency, pour over peppers. Bake covered 25-35 minutes till heated and bubbly.
