Preparation
Step 1
Spaghetti Squash:
1. Cut the squash in half lengthwise with a sharp large knife.
2. Clean out all the seeds icky stuff (technical term)
3. Boil salted water in a large pot- add both halves of the squash and cooked for 15-20 minutes or until it’s fork tender.
4. Carefully remove the squash from the pot and place it in a bowl to cool slight.
5. Once cooled, take a fork, starting at the edges of the squash, comb the squash in toward the center. You'll notice all the little pieces of squash that look like noodles.
Meat Sauce:
1. Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan on medium, then add the olive oil and garlic and cook until fragrant.
2. Add the turkey and cook until no longer pink using a spatula to break up the meat.
3. Once cooked add the sauce and basil and heat through.
Add the squash “noodles” to a bowl and top with the meat sauce!
