Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup margarine
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup glazed cherries
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparation
Step 1
Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg and almond extract and beat until smooth. Stir in flour and baking soda until well blended. Mix in glazed cherries and almonds.
Roll dough into a log and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Remove plastic and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Put slices onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350F until bottom begins to turn golden.
