- 1 cup unpopped popcorn (You may use 2 bags of microwave popcorn)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1.Preheat an oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Pop the popcorn using an air popper according to manufacturer's directions. Place into a large mixing bowl, and set aside. Or microwave two bags of microwave popcorn.
2. Cook the butter low and with the sugar while wisking it constantly until it thickens, (approximately 5 minutes)(Also, add 2 Tbs water to sugar/butter mixture while boiling to help the sugar dissolve. Cook the syrup to the soft-ball stage and then cook another 2 minutes stirring often. take it off the heat and add the cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Alternative: microwave in a glass measuring cup.Melt the butter in batches then add the rest of the ingredients, stirred like crazy in between 20 second zaps on high (took 2 times or 40 seconds).
After that step, drizzle it over the popcorn until the popcorn is evenly coated. Spread the popcorn into a large roasting pan.
3.Bake in the preheated oven 10 minutes, then turn the heat off, and allow the popcorn to stay in the oven 20 minutes longer. Remove from oven, and cool completely before serving.
