Ingredients
- 1 10oz long thin loaf french bread
- 8 large eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 4 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 2 Tbsp butter
- (also add a little cinnamon & nutmeg maybe even some raisins)

Step 1
Grease a 9x13 pan with butter. Cut bread in 11 2 inch slices and arrange in layer on bottom of pan. In a large bowl beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Pour over bread and cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight. Uncover and dot each piece with butter. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until bread is fluffy and light brown. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes. Serve with syrup.
