  • MEATBALLS
  • 2 pounds minced meat
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper -- to taste
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • SAUCE
  • 20 ounces can tomato juice
  • 6 ounces can tomato paste
  • 20 ounces tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 -3/4 cup sugar -- to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Combine ingredients for meatballs and mix well. Make tiny balls.

Combine ingreadients for sauce and bring to a boil.

Drop meatballs into boiling sauce and cook for 2 - 2-1/2 hours.

Serve on bed of rice as a main course (6 servings), or as an appetizer (8 servings).
