Ingredients
- cookie
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp bakig soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- filling
- 1 cup chopped figs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbl spn butter
- 1 cup water
- 4 tbl spn lemon juice

Step 1
use enough flour to roll. i like to put into ref.to cool for awile before rolling, they roll and cut better when chilled
filling: combine all ingreadients except sugar, simmer slowly until figs are tender, add sugar simmer for 10 minutes more.
fill cookies and bake
