- 3/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1-1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla

Step 1
1 - Preheat oven to 375 degF
2 - Spray cookie sheets with Pam or use mats
3 - Toast sesame seeds in large skillet over medium heat, stirring every few seconds , for 5-7 mins or until pale brown. Remove from heat, continue stirring for 30 secs. Let cool.
4 - In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
5 - In a large bowl of mixer, beat butter and sugar on medium speed until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Blend
6 - With mixer on low speed, beat in flour mixture and 1/3 cup of toasted seed.
7 - Roll into 1" balls, Dip tops into remaining seeds.
8 - Place 2" apart on prepared sheets, Flatten to 1-1/2".
9 - Bake 6-9 minutes or until lightly browned.
10 - Cool 2 mins on sheets, then move to rack.
Store 2 weeks or freeze for up to 1 month
