  • 6

    T heavy cream

  • Pastry Cream:

  • 1 1/4

    cup milk

  • 1/2

    cup sugar

  • 1/4

    cup cornstarch

  • 1/2

    t salt

  • 4

    egg yolks

  • 1

    t vanilla

Directions

Make pastry cream: Scald milk over medium heat. Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt together. Whisk the egg yolks then slowly whisk in the dry ingredients. Remove the milk from the heat and slowly add to the dry ingredients whisking constantly. Return pan to med. heat. Whisk constantly 3 minutes until thicken and comes to a boil. let it boil, whisking for 10 seconds. Remove from the heat and pour through a sieve then stir in the vanilla. Refrigerate with plastic wrap on the surface for four hours. Beat the cream until soft peaks then fold into the pastry cream and fill cooled donuts.
