Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teas. salt
- ***************
- 2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped almonds

Step 1
Put the first four ingredients into a heavy bottomed sauce pan. Place some parchment paper on 2 cookie sheets. Heat on medium heat until it reaches the hardball stage (285 to 300 degrees). Pour out on to the 2 cookie sheets and spread thinly. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on the toffee while still warm and let sit for a few minutes until they start to melt. Spread evenly over toffee then sprinkle with chopped almonds. Let set until firm and break into smaller pieces. Store in airtight container.
