Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1 (6 ounce) package (1 cup) butterscotch chips

Step 1
Heat oven to 375. In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter and shortening; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs; blend well.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add oats, almonds and butterscotch chips; blend well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 for 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets.
