BUTTER COOKIE DOUGH

Similar recipe that my Aunt Fannie used. I adapted this recipe from one I found in a Pampered Chef brochure.

Ingredients
- 3 sticks butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 TBS milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375F.
In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk, vanilla and almond extracts to butter/sugar mixture. Beat well.
In another large bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Mix until you have a smooth dough.
Take a scoop of the dough and roll to fit into cookie press. Put dough in cookie press.
Press trigger and form cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.
Decorate cookies with colored sugar or sprinkles.
Bake until golden around the edges - approximately 6 to 8 minutes; transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
*NOTE: This dough can also be rolled out on a flour surface and cut with cookie cutters.*
