Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chicken fat, or shortening
- 10 carrots, 10-12; diced (about 2 lbs)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 3 tablespoons water

Preparation
Step 1
1. Melt fat in skillet. Add carrots and cook 1 minute.
2. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer. Cook, covered, until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain if necessary.
