Soft Chewy Caramels

Ingredients

• 1 T plus 1 C butter, divided
• 2 1/4 C brown sugar
• 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
• 1 C dark corn syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Line 10x15 pan with foil, grease foil with 1 T butter. In heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt reamining butter. Add brown sugar, milk and corn syrup. Cook and stir til thermometer reads 250 degrees (hard ball stage). pour into prepared pan (do not scrape saucepan). Cool before cutting.
