  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 to 2 cups unsalted, dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1

Generously grease large baking sheet; set aside. Combine sugar and corn syrup in 2-quart glass bowl. Cook on HIGH for 4 minutes. Stir in peanuts with wooden spoon and cook on HIGH for 4 minutes. Stir in butter and vanilla and cook on HIGH for 2 1/2 minutes.

Add baking soda; stir until mixture is light and foamy. Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Spread quickly to edges using back of wooden spoon. As candy cools, stretch to a thin sheet using palms of hands.

Cool completely before breaking into pieces. Store in airtight container in a cool place
