Ingredients
- 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 package Simply Organic Black Bean Seasoning Mix
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Drain chickpeas, reserving liquid.
Combine chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, and Black Bean Seasoning Mix in a blender or food processor. Add ½ cup of the reserved liquid. Blend for 3 to 5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Gradually add a little more liquid as needed to reach desired consistency.
Place in serving bowl. Garnish with crushed red pepper. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
Serve with pita bread, bagel chips, or veggies. Add additional olive oil if hummus appears too dry.
