Ingredients

  • leftover roast beef and bones
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 box of beef broth
  • 6 cups water
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 6 carrots, chopped
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 1 cup barley

Preparation

Step 1

Use large crockpot. Add the leftover beef (cubed) and bones and spices.

Add the broth, water, celery, carrots, onion, and barley. Cover and cook on low setting for 10 hours (overnight), or until the vegetables and barley are tender.
