  • 4 cups sliced tart apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup water (less for juicy apples)
  • Mix with a fork
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup white or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Peel and cut apples into casserole dish. Spread topping over the apples. Bake at 350 until the apples are tender and the crust brown (about 30 minutes). Serve with cream or whipped cream.
