Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. butter, softened
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 C. flour
  • 1/4 C. powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbs. baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • Cherry Fudge Filling: Mix all ingredients.
  • 2/3 C. sugar
  • 1/3 C. baking cocoa
  • 1/4 C. finely chopped maraschino cherries, well drained (reserve juice)
  • 2 Tbs. butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • Cherry Glaze: Mix all ingredients until smooth and spreadable
  • 1/2 C. powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tsp. reserved cherry juice

Step 1

Heat oven to 350*. Beat butter and cream cheese in large bowl on medium speed. Stir in flour, powdered sugar, cocoa and vanilla.
Divide dough into 24 equal pieces. Press each in bottom and up sides of ungreased mini muffin cup. Make Cherry Fudge Filling. Spoon about 2 tsp. filling into each cup.
Bake 18-20 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when filling is touched lightly. Cool 1 hour; loosen from cups with tip of knife. Remove from pan to wire rackk. Drizzle with Cherry Glaze; sprinkle with chopped cherries if desired.
