Ingredients
- Peppermint Frosting:
- 1 C. sugar
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 C. powdered sugar
- 1/4 C. butter, softened
- 3 Tbs. milk
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
- 1/4 C. butter
- 2 Tbs. corn syrup
- 1 C. semeisweet chocolate chips
- Crushed peppermint candies

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375*. Beat sugar, 1/2 C. butter, vanilla, egg and unsweetened chocolate in large bowl on medium speed. Stir in flour and salt.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press each with greased bottom of drinking glass dipped into sugar until about 1/4" thick. Bake about 8 minutes or until set. Cool 1-2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
Spread Peppermint frosting over each cookie to within 1/4" of edge. Melt 1/4 C. butter, corn sutup and chocolate chips over low heat, drizzle mixture over each cookie; sprinkle with crushed candies.
Peppermint Frosting: Mix all ingredients until smooth and spreadable.
